The client experienced limitations with the Out-of-the-Box platform Search feature of Salesforce Commerce Cloud

They managed two locales, French and English, each with approximately 7.8 million products, significantly straining their Search functionality

This resulted in search queries taking time to load the Product Listing Pages (PLP), leading to a poor user experience and customer dissatisfaction

This resulted the client to switch to “Constructor.io” to enhance search performance and improve customer satisfaction

Royal Cyber replaced out of the box search with Constructor.io for home page search with Auto Suggest, CLP, PLP, PDP, Search Refinements, Search Filters, Faceted Navigation, search relevancy, and Product Recommendations to provide improved buyer’s experience and order conversion.

Instead of changing the frontend, we focused on backend integration, syncing data from Salesforce to Constructor.io indexes, including products, categories, facets, prices, and inventory data. This process involved a combination of out-of-the-box (OOTB) and custom sync jobs.

We implemented a solution using Constructor.io components while maintaining the same frontend and UI. This involved integrating Constructor.io Search Autocomplete and Search API to replace the slower out-of-the-box Salesforce search.

We utilized the Constructor.io Autocomplete API to provide quicker, accurate search suggestions and integrated the Search and Browse APIs to send query terms and filters to Constructor.io, which returned relevant results based on AI/ML models.
